How it’s Used

In most cases, patients may be photographed by their dermatologist, surgeon, or other healthcare provider to track changes over time, or before and after a procedure or treatment. ARMADA™ is the only technology available on the market that standardizes image capture parameters to maximize comparability due to the exactness in positioning and use of lighting.

In dermatological applications, ARMADA™ accurately and reliably measures skin features over space and time.

Harness the power of advanced algorithms

With an exceptional ease of use, physicians, researchers, patients, consumers, and more can now harness the power of advanced algorithms, biological reference data, and Artificial Intelligence techniques to make observations, take analyses, and take action to ultimately improve outcomes, enhance results, and improve lives.

Features

Spectral Enhancement

The patented non-contact mobile device attachment, an LED emitter synthesizes spectral responses for specific targets of interest.

Skin Mapping

Spectral Enhancement automatically detects, classifies, and maps skin features creating ease for tracking and comparison over time.

Detection Algorithms

Proprietary detection algorithms that uses spatial, spectral, and temporal observables to highlight prioritized skin biomarkers.

Tunable LED

The ARMADA™ attachment is enhanced with a spectrally tunable LED booster array and Bluetooth-based control app.

Remote Sensing

Active remote sensing provides calibrated light source in LED array; it’s engineered to adjust to changing ambient light conditions.

Enhanced Visibility

Skin features like follicular oils become visible. With Spectral Enhancement, the visibility of chromophores is strengthened.

Deep Data

Using a non-modified smartphone, actionable skin metrics regarding health or aesthetics are generated, creating deep data insights.

Spectral Information

The smartphone or mobile device camera and LED array together provides unique spectral information of selected skin features.

Patent Pending

This IP-protected configuration provides true remote sensing data for deep insights that eclipse that of basic photos.

ARMADA™ Smartphone-Based Acne Lesion Detection / Mapping / Tracking

Mapping and tracking skin lesions like blackhead/whitehead/papule/pustule are now possible using Galileo’s BIOLOGICAL RELATIVTY™ approach. This approach focuses on using spectral information to identify and classify lesion presence, boundaries, and bio signatures, while monitoring biological change of the target object over time relative to itself.

Laboratory Hyperspectral Imaging for

Research and Investigative Work

Galileo owns and operates different high-end and state-of-the-art laboratory sensors to identify spectral and spatial differences of target material.

This information can then be used to define sensor requirements for the mobile and customize the spectral booster to specific needs using the larger hyperspectral sensors as exploratory pathfinders.

As part of this, Galileo has for example performed approved pre-clinical research and collected hundreds of live patient on-site scans to develop a science-grade database, detection algorithms and skin response models.

Specialized capabilities and resources are in continued development and include:

N

Human tissue spectral signatures with reference pathology

N

Skin surface imaging for lesion detection, skin cancer mapping and skin radiation effects measurement

N

Sub-surface vascular imaging

N

Multi-Sensor measurement and data fusion for 3D body mapping
